Well, I saw this Fendi Calf Hair Mama Bag Baguette Brown Bag and thought, “That’s a mouthful!” But I figured, why not give it a try, see what all the fuss is about. I ain’t no expert, but I know a good-lookin’ bag when I see one.
First, I went on and got myself one of these bags. It’s a Fendi, so you know it ain’t cheap. But I was curious, seein’ as how everyone’s been talkin’ about it. They call it a “Mama Baguette” – sounds kinda fancy, right?
When it arrived, I took a good look at it. It’s made of this brown calf hair stuff. Feels kinda nice, I gotta admit. And it’s got a flap that goes over the top and a strap. Pretty simple, really.
- Got the bag. Checked.
- Looked it over. Brown calf hair, got a flap, got a strap. Check.
Then I started carryin’ it around. Took it to the store, took it to visit my sister, even took it to the church potluck. Just wanted to see how it felt, you know? And I gotta say, it’s a pretty handy bag. Fits all my stuff – wallet, keys, phone, even a little snack for later.
Using the Bag:

Now, I ain’t sayin’ it’s the best bag in the world or anythin’. But it’s a good bag. It’s sturdy, it looks nice, and it does what a bag’s supposed to do – hold your stuff. And that brown color, it goes with just about everythin’.
So, is it worth all the hype? Well, that’s up to you, I reckon. But me? I like it. It’s a good bag, and I’m gonna keep usin’ it. It’s a keeper and that’s my final thought.
Oh, and I heard this bag was designed way back in ’97. Makes it kinda special, I guess, knowin’ it’s been around for a while. They say it was inspired by French bread, of all things! Funny, ain’t it?
