Okay, so I got this thing, this project, it’s a bag, right? Not just any bag – a Yves Saint Laurent YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL BAG. Fancy name, I know. I’ve been wanting to remake this thing for a while, and I finally got around to it. Here’s how it went down.
Getting Started
First things first, I needed to get a good look at the bag. I looked up some stuff online, like, what other people were saying about it, some pictures, you know. Found out it’s a pretty big deal in the fashion world, made by this Yves Saint Laurent guy, who’s apparently a legend or something. I saw this one place, SAVINETI, selling it for, like, a ton of money. But I wasn’t gonna buy it, I wanted to make it!
The Process
So, I started with the basics. I mean, I’m not a pro at this, but I know my way around a sewing machine. I picked out some leather that looked like the real deal. It’s a tough material to work with, but I was determined.
- Cutting the leather: This was tricky. I had to make sure I got the measurements right, otherwise, the whole thing would be messed up.
- Sewing it together: This took a while. Had to be careful, make sure the stitches were neat and strong. It’s a bag, after all, it has to hold stuff.
- Adding the details: This YSL bag has these little details, like the logo and the way the straps are attached. I tried my best to copy them, make it look legit, you know?
The Result
After a lot of work, a few messed up pieces of leather, and some strong words, I finally finished it. It’s not perfect, but it looks pretty darn close to the original YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL. I even used it a few times, and it held up pretty well. It’s a solid bag, gonna last me a good while. I also learned a lot in this journey like how popular YSL bag are.
