This here, it’s called a Remake Patek Philippe, you know? Some fancy name, PP Calatrava 6007G-011. They say it’s for specialty stores. Sounds like a load of hogwash to me. But I seen pictures. Shiny, it is. Like them fancy plates my niece has that she never lets nobody use.
They say this watch, this Patek Philippe, is somethin’ else. Pricey, oh lord, is it pricey. More than my old mule was worth, bless her heart. I heard some folks talkin’, sayin’ it’s over $30,000. Thirty thousand! Can you believe that? For a watch! Could buy a whole herd of goats with that kinda money.
I seen this chart, you know, with lines goin’ up and down. Shows how much this Calatrava 6007G costs. Changes all the time, it does. Like the weather. One day it’s this much, next day it’s that much. Makes my head spin, just tryin’ to keep up. Too complicated for an old woman, I tell ya.

They got this other Patek Philippe, called a “Nautilus.” Sounds like a sea creature. They say it’s so popular, you gotta wait ten years to get one. Ten years! I’ll be six feet under by then! And for what? A watch? Lord have mercy. They say that you will be waitin’ for 10 years for this Nautilus 5711. It’s all crazy to me!
This here Calatrava 6007G, it’s got somethin’ called a “bezel.” Sounds like a weasel. And it’s got these fancy “hands.” Not like my hands, all rough and worn from years of work. These watch hands are all shiny and new. They say it’s “three-dimensional.” Whatever that means. Sounds like somethin’ out of one of them space movies.
I guess some folks like to wear fancy things. Dress up all nice. Makes ’em feel good, I suppose. Me, I’m happy with my old overalls and my comfy shoes. Don’t need no fancy watch to tell me what time it is. The sun does that just fine. This 6007G-011 is for the rich folks.
But I reckon if you got the money, and you like that sort of thing, then this Patek Philippe Calatrava might be for you. They say it’s good with anything you wear. I wouldn’t know about that. Don’t own nothin’ fancy enough to go with a thirty-thousand-dollar watch. They say this Calatrava 6119 is good. So maybe this one is good too.
They say it’s a good thing to have, like land, or a good cow. Something that is always worth somethin’. That’s what they say about this Remake Patek Philippe PP Calatrava 6007G-011. I don’t know about no Remake Patek Philippe, though. Sounds fishy to me.

And this Patek Philippe Calatrava 6007G-011, well, it’s just one more thing I don’t understand. But hey, if it makes you happy, and you can afford it, then who am I to judge? Just don’t come cryin’ to me when you lose it down the well.
Now, I got chores to do. Chickens need feedin’, and the garden needs waterin’. Don’t have time to be thinkin’ about no fancy watches. But you city folks, you do what you want. Just remember what I said about that Remake thing. Sounds mighty suspicious to this old woman. Just make sure that you are buyin’ a real Patek Philippe Calatrava, you hear?
If you just got one watch your whole life that is good, maybe this one ain’t so bad. I don’t know. This Calatrava 6007G-011 is somethin’ else. I wouldn’t buy it, not me. That Remake is what I really don’t like though. But if you want to, go ahead. It is your money after all.
