Okay, so, I’m scrolling through this online store, right? And I see all these Prada bags. They’ve got tons of them – shoulder bags, mini bags, bucket bags, you name it. But the one that really got me was this Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Mini-Bag. I mean, it’s a classic, but way smaller and cuter! And guess what? It was like 20% off, but also saw another website has 25% off. I thought, “Why not try making one myself?”

So I started looking around for the stuff I needed. Found some leather that looked pretty close to the real deal, Saffiano type, I guess. Then I needed the hardware, you know, the little metal bits and the logo. That took some time, but I managed to find some that looked pretty similar online.

Next, I had to figure out how to put it all together. I watched a bunch of videos of people making bags, tried to find any info I could about how these Prada bags are made. It was tough, let me tell you. Cutting the leather was a real pain, and I definitely messed up a few times.

  • First big hurdle: the cutting. Man, that was harder than it looked.
  • Second challenge: the stitching. My lines weren’t exactly straight at first.
  • Third obstacle: getting the shape right. It’s a structured bag, so it had to hold its form.

Sewing the pieces together was another story. My sewing machine was not happy with the thick leather, and I had to do a lot of it by hand. It took forever, and my fingers were killing me. But I kept at it, slowly but surely, the bag started to take shape.

Putting on the hardware was also a bit of a challenge. I had to make sure everything was lined up perfectly, and that the little feet on the bottom were even. It was fiddly work, but I finally got it done.

The Result

After all that work, I finally finished my Remake PRADA Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Mini-Bag! It’s not exactly like the real thing, but I’m pretty proud of it. It’s got that same classy vibe, and it’s the perfect size for my phone, wallet, and keys. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but hey, it’s unique, and I made it myself!

Would I do it again? Maybe. It was a lot of work, but it was also kind of fun. Plus, now I have a one-of-a-kind mini Galleria bag, even though it’s not perfect but it’s mine, and that’s pretty cool.
